We went to Florida for Christmas. My parents planned the whole thing 2 years ago. Making sure to reserve condos & get tickets, everything. we almost thought we wouldn't be going..but since Maddox decided to join us early we were able to join my parents & brother & sister-in-law for Christmas. my parents treated us like royalty! They had surprises for the boys when we arrived & all their favorite snacks...but I'm getting ahead of myself. Ill start at the beginning.
After picking up our new car Friday we all went to bed early in Charlotte in anticipation of a 4:45am wake up to get on the road. We wanted to arrive at Disney by dinner time.

the boys were fabulous! They napped, snacked, watched shows, made silly faces, & yes even whined a bit too. We stopped at a burger king that had a play ground so the kids could wiggle a bit. They were funny to watch as they stretched & let out some bottled up energy. The ride was actually really enjoyable.

Our first day in Florida was BEAUTIFUL! The weather was warm & we were excited for the week ahead. Maddox slept in while Tre & Britton awoke before the sun rose. We went to a restraint on the resort & the boys were given balloon animals as they ate. It was cute. We spent a good part of the morning at the park & then joined Brad & Kalen for lunch. Then it was time for naps. After nap time Rod studied while brad & kalen helped me with the boys at the pool. Tre was thrilled, but Britton was out of character & apparently out of his comfort zone & refused to go in the water. He had fun anyhow watching & laughing along with his big brother. Maddox slept through his first pool side experience. We had a family dinner with all of us & some fun kid free evening chats.

Monday came & tre was so excited to go to "mickey mouse's town!" He had been waiting so patiently to go for months now. We went to see the playhouse Disney performance with Handy many, tiger & pooh, mickey mouse & his gang, and little Einsteins. It was really cute. We were scared to pieces that britt would be EVERYWHERE & not want to sit still to watch. but they boy was just as into it as his big brother! It was darling to watch him clap and watch wide eyed. Both boys loved when the bubbles fell from the sky! It was darling! We attempted to play in "honey I shrunk the kids" but it felt more like "honey we are going to loose the kids." So we walked in went down one slide & ran for the hills. We enjoyed our first day in disney & all of us were plumb tuckered out after 4 hours.

When we werent at the pool, park or disney out exploring we...

made some...

decorated the condo tree to make it our very own christmas tree...

Christmas eve we had a really fun day. We wentto disney again and watched the christmas parade which was a hoot. I was super worried about maddox & britty's ears, but both seemed unaware of how loud the event was. Maddox slept through it & britt just loved it! Tre watched in awe. Britt clapped & waved at pooh as he passed. The boy doesnt know who pooh is, but my mother had bought the boys tiny plushes of disney characters. Britt had taken a liking to the tiny pooh & was taking him to bed while in florida...so when he saw a life sized moving pooh, britt just about jumped out to join him. We coulkd tell Tre was soaking it all in..made us wonder what he was thinking. We ate dinnewr in the park with everyone & caught some attractions. We arent ride people so the shows caught our attention. When we got back to the condo "Santa" had brought new christmas jammies for everyone! We all went to bed with visions of sugar plumbs dancing in our heads.

My sweet sweet husband turned 28 on christmas eve. I had asked my parents to pick up a cake a few nights earlier & they found the most chocolate cake in orlando. We sang to him & dug in. yummy! Rod is such a fabulous guy & it seems he only grows more so with each year. Its hard to belive we met when he was 19. I am so proud of him, & more in love with his goofy ways & the father he is, the husband he is,, the driven man he is now then I was then..or even yesterday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOTT ROD!

Christmas day was fun. we all hung out in our jammies for most of the day while the boys opened presents. We wtached christmas movies, snacked on some really delicous treats my mom layed out. Tre spent a good portion of the day colring & decorating the fridge. Hes such a a sweet little boy. The resort made christmas dinner and it was ready in a box tied with a bow. It was vacation for all of us so no cooking necessary! My mom was really cute about it. I think she enjoyed having it done for her...but nothing compares to my mothers cooking. shes a gourmet! The boys recieved ponny's from my parents which were & are a huge hit! We are so blessed taht our boys are so loved!

With boards only 6 months away & a pre-test of sorts the first week back to classes Rod has been studying a lot! He studied a lot during our trip too...& every now & again Id catch him asleep with his text book. what a cute guy!

Our last day in Florida we decided to spend the entire day soaking in the sunshine & warmth...cause heaven knows kentucky was not going to offer us 85 degrees or warmer & sunny. So we wnet to the pool & let the sun kiss us & the played in the wtaer..we let britt lead the way. it took a good 30 minuets, but he got in and splashed along side his brother in no time. after some time at the pool we swung by a resort cafe for what else..cake...& then played at the park before heading to the condo for christmas dinner left overs & bedtime. It was a great way to wrap up our christmas away.

We left florida & went to visit Rod's mother in Myrtle Beach SC. The drive was nice (more so for me & the boys then poor Rod who drove while we napped & I read birthday present in the back. I have completly been sucked into the twilight saga. Im pretty certain my family will celebrate when they get me back. haha. I love that guy..the things he puts up with! haha) It was a pleasant visit & the boys loved her christmas tree & of course the puppies! Tre loved helping Grandmom with dinner. Maggi had bought the boys some new books (which we love! when people ask what to get the boys for birthdays & holidays I say books...because we love reading! just plain love reading!) She always has good taste on books...much like my aunt carol who always spoils the boys with books. Rod had a special moment with his mom. The two of them & a little tag along nammed britton went for a walk to talk. I think it was great taht the two of them had that specail time alone...well almost alone:) Rod's mom has been very ill & is undergoing Chemo & radiation. Its been hard with her blood counts dropping & all the yucky bugs she has caught with a low immune system. She could use many prayers. We really loved seeing her...and I thought she looked beautiful even after going through all these tresatments. We left SC the next morning & drove tro my parents house. They were still traveling from Florida when we arrived. The boys were happy to be out of the car. While in NC we celebrated my birthday.

My grandparents came over to my parents house. in celbration of Rod & my birthdays My mom had made a yummy stuffed chicken dish & marveled us all! We ate cake & enjoyed a nice visit. We said our goodbyes the following morning & are now back home. i still havent unpacked & I blame edward & bella. So with that you can guess what Im going to do right now....
hope your christmas was as blessed as ours!
