Happy Halloween Friends!

{The Big Reveal}

Friday, October 29, 2010

This year Mom had NO say as to what the boys were for halloween. They had their own opinion on the matter. Star Wars it was. There was no fight to be had. Their minds were made up. I still think Peter pan & his lost boys/brothers would have been darling. & Presley as Tink...well that would have broke my heart. The very best part of this star wars fixation is...they have never even seen the movies! (mom wont let them yet.) They play Lego Star Wars via Wii. & they love the characters from the game. funny boys!
We showed off their costumes tonight at the Knoxville Zoo.

Rod was home this weekend & took the cuties
& I out to the pumpkin patch!
Treats

corn mazes
pumpkins
kernel digging
music
hay jumping etc etc

* * * * * * *

& then we hurried home to get ready for the baby sitter & our hott date in knoxville.
Rod took his girls out for dinner. We all got gussied up.
Presley being the doll-baby that she is got us a table quick after being told the wait would be 45 minutes. The hostesses were so impressed with our cutie in pink that we jumped ahead of 5 other couples. I think we may start taking her everywhere! Its funny though---it takes me on average about 30 minutes longer to grocery shop because of all the admirers! (okay done bragging on my miss. pretty.) Our date was lovely. we finished it off with a crispy cream donut stop for the kidd-os & we held hands the whole way home while Presley snoozed in her seat behind me.

Now I am missing the man again. He is fun.

{Missed to boat}

Sunday, October 24, 2010

I had the bright idea that I would take the kids on a ferry ride in Knoxville.
The Ferry runs on the river & has a scenic autumn leaves tour of the cities water front.
After T got out of school I had a few errands to run. I ran them & then headed south.
Everything taht could go wrong (okay, not everything) did go wrong.
I thought I lost my wallet & turned around & started the trip all over again, potty stops, GPS confusing my simple mind, nursing stops...blah blah blah.
So we didnt arrive to the dock until 10 minutes AFTER the tour departed.
I had a handful of VERY disapointed little boys.
We watched boat pass without us on it.
We made the best of it & wandered around the river front.
It was a game weekend in Knoxville which is why the kids & I felt a bit out of place not wearing orange! GO VOLUNTEERS!

Presley dined on rice cereal tonight.
Her big brother's were thrilled to help!
She was incredibly lady like about the whole thing!

Oh yes...

& about that spoon...

When I was a toddler I ate a lot of Cheerios...& I mean a lot. LOVED them apparently. I even had a bowl for my cheerios that read at the bottom "you did it" so when you finished your breakfast--TAH-DAH! there it was...a pat on the back for doing it! I loved that bowl so much that my parents got a spoon engraved that read "Jennifer did it!" So then I loved Cheerios, my bowl & my personalized spoon.

& thats the short & simple tale of my Jennifer spoon.

{Witches Tea}

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

When I first met Heather I knew right away she was going to be one admired lady amongst the ladies here.
& sure enough she is!
This amazing women has 3 beautiful little girls with another cooking right now.
She is one of those moms that makes it all look so easy.
Heather Hosted a Witches Tea.
We dressed up & arrived to a candle lit dinner.
Heather has done this party in the past & explained that hse enjoys throwing these Teas in honir of womenhood, & friendship & how we are able to help one another.
How sweet is that.
Heather literaly walked around & served us each (all 16 of us) dinner. I was touched, & I know
that every other witch was touched too.
It was a perfect party!
& a fantastic way to kick off the halloween season!
(Thank you my dearest Audrey for sharing pictures!)
Guess what is arriving by mail tomorrow???
life can continue again!
