This week escaped me.
We have been busy enjoying each other & figuring out how to be 6.

My husband is a great example to me.
He watches or reads a confrence talk every day & has been for a while now.
last night we sat on the couch & watched this one together...

I feel so blessed to have a mom who showed me how to live & love.
& I am enchanted by my own daughter & hope I can show Presley just how muuch her family loves her, & how much her father in heaven loves her.

(I know 2 posts in one day.)

Presley is 1 week old today you know.
I cried about it.
I dread this little girl getting any bigger then 6 lbs & 18 inches.
I wish she would stay pocket sized forever.
I cant get enough of her little features, & kitten like sounds.
Im feeling time already slipping through my fingers & I cant stop it.

I love the moments after Presley has just finished nursing, is pink all over & sighs as she falls asleep. I just look at her. She is exactly who I needed in my life. A daughter. & shes just perfect.
I am smitten!

(that daddy is one good looking guy!)

Im hoping Rod felt all our love this weekend.
He is a great dad. He is quick to play with the boys & is almost always the good cop.
I love watching his relationship with each of our children.
With Tre he is a teacher, with Britt he is a clown, with Maddox he is a comfort &
with our sweet daughter he is so gentle & proud.
On Presley's 1st day home he brought her to see Dr. Crumbly & the Dr. he is following now.
He proudly walked accross the yard
with baby girl wrapped up in pink to show off his beautiful girl.
Talk about melting my heart!
He will call for me & say "Jen, look...shes doing something cute. get the camera!"
(shes usually just laying there sound asleep.)
He could never be accused of not loving his boys & girlie.
I feel so very blessed to have married a man who understands what fatherhood means!
The boys put a little something together for our very own hero!

We all miss my dad too much right now.
He is a fantastic grandfather.
Hes silly & ridiculous & cuddly to boot!
Im grateful for his love & support.
He is the dad who will do anything for ya.
Happy Daddy's day to you too Dad!

Saying goodbye to opah. it will be months rather then weeks before tre gets to play with omah and opah again. its going to be hard.

I have presley pictures piled up. Ill be sure to put more up soon.
My poor boys. I wonder if they miss the spotlight.
Something tells me they dont mind the camera being pointed elsewhere.

Presley is a peach! I feel so diffrently about her. After 3 rough & tough little dudes her daddy & I find ourselves being diffrent with our girl. I have not heard her cry yet. She is on her 4th day & has slept & ate & looked around. but no crying. Just a peep now & again to let us know she is there. I love her.
I am at a loss for words.

we were able to bring our darling home wednesday at 11am.
I walked in to noise & trains flying.
After a few minuets of panic,
Presley & I settled in. It turned into a beautiful day.
All my sweethearts in the same place!
This is going to be fun!

No baby girl yet.

between nesting fits & playing with my family
(including both my mom & husband!!)
(again... we miss you dad!)
We have been keeping busy & on the go...
A local country kitchen with a friend & his sweet new wife who just moved back to town.
A girls night with lots of yummy treats.
& again to the country kitchen for bluegrass music & to meet up with a big group of friends & their visiting parents. Lots of Omah/grandma love was in that resteraunt!
just snapped a few of people I love.
It was incredibly hummid,
but the boys ran circles around Omah anyhow!

Rod's family is packing up a house that has been in the family for 3 generations.
The history & stories are endless.

Its amazing what a home can say about the lives lived there.
I feel very lucky to have shared this past weekend with Rod's family & walk the long hall in the house & see each room with cousins & aunts & uncles.

I know our boys will enjoy the stories their Dad will tell of that house.
Broccolli, swords, hats, puzzles, holidays, bunkbeds....
