{Cherries and Wheat}

 Last Saturday Our cute friend Emilee, and our sweet realtor, Heather invited me to go for a girls walk in the morning. I was worried that I would not be able to make it up the hills that are all over our town. Vegas was so flat after all. But I didn't notice the hills because I was too busy noticing how beautiful the trails and views were that we walked. In fact, after we finished our walk and went back to our cars, I decided to stay and continue walking. I turned on some of my favorite inspiring music and could have walked all day on those trails. So I went home and got the kids dressed, we took them to lunch & then brought them to where I had spent all morning. I spent 6 hours at that park that day. We loved having Dane with us to explore this new found park. The kids even found cherry trees and blackberry bushes. I took a billion pictures of the kids together, and I love them all. so I am keeping them all. I truly feel like a mother of 6 and I love that even Dane's mom jokes about our boys being shared-joint custody & all. So fun. I love that Tre has Dane & that Dane has Tre. & I love this new town and the good it is doing four family. The way we use our time here is so different and special. We are making memories every day.

{Presley turns 9}

Friday, June 21, 2019

Our June babies often seem to get the short end of the stick. Every 2-4 years we are moving and usually on their birthdays. We will house hop one more time, but no major state moves so hopefully our 2 summer birthdays will be extra special next year. Presley turned 9, which is still so shocking to Rod & I. She wears a size 6 and still wears toddler sized shoes at size 13. I feel like Heavenly Father is sparing me extra tears about our only girl growing up by keeping her pocket sized. Cooper is the same size as Presley and it gets us a lot of questions about how many sets of twins we have since Madds & Britt are still keeping pace with one another is size.
I wish I could keep these children small forever.
For Presley's birthday all she wanted was a new bed (she had been sleeping in my full size bed I had as a young girl and it had seen its day. it squeaked a lot & if we are being perfectly honest...one side was being held together by clear duct tape. super classy I know. But it was such a beautiful sweet bed.) she also wanted the "the fuzziest blanket ever" and a lego set. So on the 14th of June this little big girl had a new canopy bed to sleep in & she loves it! Cooper was really excited to help set it up because he just adores his sister. He bounces between all the siblings, but most of the time he wants Presley to play with him. She also received her fuzzy blanket, but still loves loves loves her blanket that Tamsyn's cute mom had made her when she was born. so now we are 2 blankets deep that get dragged around the house. She was so thankful and pleased, but if you were to ask her what her favorite thing she got for her birthday was she would tell you it was having Dane with us on her big day. She said he was her birthday present. Melts my heart.
Presley wanted to see Secret Life of Pets 2 with her new best friend, Ainslee (& their brothers, but mostly Ainslee. ) so we met at a theatre and bought lots of yummy treats and they laughed and loved it. After the movie we had delicious cupcakes from Kyras. It was really a simple, but sweet day.
