We had such a blast in North Carolina for the long & lovely Easter weekend.
We left home on Thursday after Rod & Tre got out of school.
We arrived at my parents home & were greeted by
"toothache cake", bunny cookies & hugs!
Day #1 (Friday)
We played at the neighborhood park for a good long time.
Charlotte had some strong storms in the afternoon.
Omah had an Easter craft to keep the boys busy.
Rod & Tre spent some of the day playing Wii blowling & golfing.
T-man likes to trash talk. ha.
Day #2 (Saturday):
This is when the real fun started...
My parents belong to a yacht club where they keep their boat. The club has lots of activities through out the year. For Easter they had Breakfast with the Easter bunny. They had a petting zoo & an egg hunt, a fabulous meal & of course the bunny was giving out hugs & chocolate!
Is anyone else just shocked that Tre hugged this bunny? I know I was!
& the cutest couple award goes to....
& If that wasn't enough fun...
we then went on a cruise on the lake with captain Opah.
It was a beautiful day.
We had to cut the trip short because Baby Maddox wasnt too keen on the wind off the lake.
The big boys loved it though.
Opah even let them drive a bit.
hey good lookin'!
needless to say the boys were all very tired after their busy day.
Day #3 (Sunday):
The Easter Bunny came!
& he brought BIKES!
Tre was so excited that he wore his helmet for most of the day.
I love this next photo...Look at how Maddox is responding to his grandparents.
oh the love!
This is the "Britt face" Its a classic!
Tre & Rod played Wii with Papa.
We tried to get Tre to hold the trash talk to a minimum.
The boys had an easter egg hunt.
I was surprised that Britt could hold his own.
He had a bit ogf help from his opah.
The boys had a blast playing with their new bikes!
Rod taught T how to use his breaks. a much needed skill!
We enjoyed a delicious brunch with some fabulous deserts.
Rod even bought an Italian Easter bread from an Italian shop near the lake.
We really enjoyed seeing family & were sad to go.
We just love my cute grandparents!
We sadly missed church because we had to get home in time for bed for the kids since T had school the next day.
But Rod read about Christ's crucifixion & resurrection
before bed to all of us.
T knows the story perfectly.
He will tell you all about the soldiers, angel, Mary , the apostles.
Hes a sponge.
Easter 2009 was a fantastic success.
& thats the end of the longest post ever...well to date!
(im sure someday I will surpass this one!)
