{Easter 2012}

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

just some quick pics of easter. I did not take pre church pictures or sit around waiting for a pretty shot of Presley in her gold dress & vintage inspired cream headband. I was busy making breakfast & getting the four ready & out the door for church. Rod had to work. Boo. I guess people get sick even on Easter Sunday. But the children were pleased as peaches when they awoke (while it was still dark I might add. Reminds me of my childhood, I was always the first up on holidays as well.)to strings tied to the foot of their beds. They followed the trail to their hidden baskets...or in this case buckets. The buckets were filled with swim toys & floats/life saving devices. The pool season starts in just a few short weeks (although it feels very much like pool season now.) We are all anxiously awaiting our first dip of 2012. The Easter bunny was kind enough to leave a note reminding our 4 why were celebrate Easter. We sat down to a beautiful video SEE HERE & talked as a family about what a blessing it s to have this knowledge & to be so deeply aware that our Heavenly Father loves us enough that he gave his only begotten son. I think this was the first year it all really sank in for T. I love watching their tinyy testimonies grow. We did egg hunts all weekend making the grand total 4 egg hunts with prizes ranging from silly bands to reeses eggs. I went back to last years pictures of Easter HERE and wouldn't you know it...I did not do a very good job at documenting 2011's Easter either. But that is okay. I was living in the moment. being what my turkeys needed me to be. Mom (aka: Easter Bunny.) Although I confess...I do not much care for raw carrots.

Now the bunnies are all packed away, eggs collected, & we are left full from the peace & joy we felt as we celebrated the resurrection of our Savior.

Do you happen to have an electronic copy of your letter from the Easter Bunny? That is something I would love to use someday with Joshua. You are such a great mom. I love filing all your ideas away in my head for someday soon.
