We have been busy this week enjoying Rod.
He had spring break.
which means lots of daddy time for 3 very excited little boys.
We went to Washington DC to visit Rod's Brother & his cute family.
We had a really nice visit.
Destiny was sweet enough to give up her room for our big boys.
She was patient & even played cars with the boys.
What a fabulous cousin!
But that comes by NO surprise at all!
Her mother, Sunny was absolutely generous & looking for ways to help.
The poor women found herself chasing Britt, pushing a stroller, bouncing
a baby, playing with the kids, cooking up yummy kid friendly meals (who knew to put sour cream in mac & cheese? My kids hummed in delight while they ate!) She made sure we always had a beverage, she wanted us to be comfortable. I feel very blessed to have such a sweet sister-in-law.
Rod's mother also joined the family.
We enjoyed seeing her. She bought the big kids foam swords.
They were a huge hit!
The boys had a blast!
I think by far the favorite was the air & space museum.
We really had a pleasant break.
& this one left Rod laughing & laughing.
We all know how Conservative my hubby is.
We returned home yesterday.
After 8 hours of driving.
We were all a little sleepy, silly & even a tad grumpy.
The boys watched kung-fu panda while playing with a panda bear & some chop sticks
we picked up at trader joes
(along with many other of our favorites, like Israeli cous cous
& dried granny smith apples to name a few.)
we were all thrilled to be home again.
Bedtime came fast & the boys were ready to sleep in their own beds.
Its always fun to go explore,
but its always wonderful to come back home.
