Last Minuet we decided to go to Michigan
for Rod's Grandmother's 80th Birthday Bash!
We went to the party, a park, a pool & a cookout just to name a few of the big events.
Introducing Rod's cousin's daughter, Miss. Lily. Sweetest darn thing!
this is Mrs. Craig. Rod's grandmother's dearest friend, & the reason Rod Sr., Rod Jr. & Rod the 3rd (aka: Tre) have the middle name Craig.

& Rod's father, Rod & Britton--It doesnt get more Sclater then that! Those 3 are look-a-likes!

there was a photographer there who took pictures. I stood to the side snaping a few too.

I just noticed how much Rod's sis & I look alike.
Dad Sclater & the Sclaters...& then all his kids
& almost all his grandkids.
(Jess's Talan is in TX with his father.)
& here we are....
Miss Lily was sweet enough to share her outdoor toys with the boys.
They really enjoyed it!
Rod was sold on having a girl after meetingf this sweet face!
It was a busy weekend, but in the end we are glad we went.
We don't see the Sclater side nearly enough as they are far from us.
we hope it wont be another 5 years.
Some Michigan snacks we made sure to have...
Coney Dogs of course...
washed down by vernors ginger ale...
for dessert....
(not nearly as good as New Hampshire Funny Bones,
but thats okay, not many things are!)
& we were sad to miss out on...
Now Rod is in Kingsport for the week
for rotations as he wraps up the Psyche portion.
I miss him already!

How fun! I am glad you guys were able to get away as a family even though it was super quick. Hope you are doing well. Sure miss hearing from you. I cannot wait till I am back in my own home!!!! Only 3 more weeks. I hate living with family!
