Our children are super blessed.

They have family that loves them...

& spoils them like crazy! 

Omah took Presley to Build a bear to deck out a stuffy of her choice.

Opah took the boys to the Lego store so each could pick a set.

I stuck with the girls.

We are not the type of parents to buy toys on a 

whim for the kids...They have to earn pretty much 

everything they get. 

which made this such a special & fun outing for the kids.

There smiles were huge.

old friends can be so refreshing. 

This is Sara(8 years ago)

& This is Charlie (8 years ago) 

These two have been in our lives forever. Charlie had his hands in my joining the church & if that was not enough...also in Rod & I meeting & of course as you know...marrying. 

These two were there when Tre was born & we have referred to Charlie as "Uncle Chuck" since. 

These two now live 5 minutes from my parents in Arizona. Charlie & Sara's children call them Omah & Opah. We are family. 

These two will always be the dearest of friends to us. We truly love them like family. They do more for us then they know. 

These two invited My parents & us over to their new digs for play & visiting.

{another sweet reunion}

Can you even believe it?! In one month I got to see both Tamsyn & Laura, aaaalllllll the kids & Tamsyn's baby bump! 

Feeling like I hit the jackpot. 

Tamsyn & I planned to meet at my boy's favorite Arizona hot spot. The train park. 

The kids played & got good & sandy while Tamsyn & I "tried" to catch up. My mom & Rod were a big help & juggled cooper & Presley for me while I visited while playing referee. The kids rode on the train, & finished off the afternoon with ice cream cones & a carousel ride. we said goodbye with intentions of double dating later in the week. But wouldn't you know it?! Tamsyn & the 3 got sick. Boo! The good news is...Ill be back in July. 

so until then....

{home away from home. part 1}

The children had their spring break 2 weeks ago, but Rod had to work so we did not stray too far from home. This past week Rod had break, but the kids had school. 

Because we are responsible parents we went ahead & pulled the boys from school & drove to Arizona to see Omah & Opah.

The thing about my parents house is that it feels like home to us, but especially to the boys. They know they each have a bed there. They know they are always welcome & will always be greeted with hugs & brownies. 

This time was no different.
