{Last Hurrah}

With the move quickly approaching & the school year wrapping up we gathered ur favorite friends and went to one of our absolute favorite places in Vegas. Lake Las Vegas has 2 large resorts. We prefer the Westin with its water slides, many pools, pool side virgin Pina coladas and movie nights. Its just perfect for families. We don't know what happened but the Wednesday before our trip a cold front came in & decided to stick around. We left for the lake Thursday after school and the keys and Sclaters played sick from school on Friday. Even with the wind the sun warmed us enough to give the kids courage to swim and play outside the whole time. We ate at a super cute Mexican restaurant & went for an evening walk before Kim read all 10 kids a bedtime story while they held onto glow sticks we brought along. Truth is, Vegas was hard for us. Each at different times, & to certain degrees. it was not warm & welcoming like Texas, but it had the Keys, our dearest friends. It had wonderful people that we will never forget & will cherish always. The Shephards, The Whites, The Riddles, Natalie & her babies, Heather K, The Dawsons, The Monsons,  Sorensons, Mrs. Carnes, Mrs. Teemant, The Lords...I could go on & on & on. Its the people that make a place a home. I wish I could pack them all up & bring them along.
