I grew up watching The Goonies with my brother or with friends. I always wanted to see the beaches in that film. It was the number one place I wanted to visit & finally last week we went. & What made it even more special is that our buddy Dane was with us to share in the magic of the Oregon coast. I still cannot believe we get to live here. It is just so incredibly beautiful.
We watched The Goonies on the way to the shore. Its so near to our Portland that we didn't even finish the whole movie. its fun having the beach so close by.
When we arrived to the coast the 6 were hungry so we went to a neat restaurant right on Cannon Beach. The view of the haystack & needles was perfect as we filled up before playing. & of course we grabbed Tillamook ice cream too.
When we first walked on the beach it was clear and the tide pools held lots of neat little things to look at. after about an hour on the sand the prettiest fog rolled over the mountains and hills onto the beach. It was breathtaking!
The 6 had a great time and we went home sandy, wet & smiling.
