It is no secret. Halloween is not my favorite. It is fun! Don't misunderstand me. And we like it a lot, but I'm always ready to see it hurry along so we can get to Thanksgiving. This year the children were very sure of what they wanted to be. Coop is head over heals with foxes right now so of course he was a cute little fox. Presley is still on an all things French kick...so she threw on a beret and apron to be a French baker. Maddox wanted to be a character from a video game which shall remain nameless. He has not be allowed to play it for 3 months now because of a certain writing assignment that his Dad gave him, which he has dragged his feet on. So it remains incomplete and thus no xbox. So the compromise was a werewolf for Maddox. Britt wanted to be a ninja so we got him decked out in black. Poor kid was so stealthy in all black that he actually got lost for a spell at trunk or treat. I heard him yelling "Mom" in the middle of the parking lot. But you can't yell to a child who is predominately deaf that we are over here. so I laughed and went to retrieve out silly ninja. Tre was his dad. yup. Dad. It started as a joke, and we went with it. Halloween season means Trunk or treat at church, school parades and parties and then of course trick or treating. Rod was actually home this Halloween! It was so strange to have him, but so wonderful! We walked around the Riddles and Wayment's neighborhood and ran into lots of friends from school and church. The children returned home happy and ready for sweet dreams. I was ready to throw up the Christmas decorations.
