Tre & Avery were quick friends. From the beginning they played so well together. Its easy to see they are both a bit more mature than their peers. So they just fit. Last Saturday Avery had her first communion. We were so excited to be invited to all the days festivities, including mass, which honestly, I miss the beauty in mass now & again. It was fun to take the boys & listen to their questions & then answer them. Avery looked like a dream all in white. T brought her flowers & the kids gave her an itty bitty necklace with her initial. I am feeling extra sentimental and bring my camera everywhere these days. I am glad I was able to capture so many of the families we live with here in our part of the city. The love felt for that little girl was thick & strong!
{a visit}
Saturday, April 25, 2015
Ive said it before, but growing up so near to family really helped me feel secure & loved! I grew up visiting my Aunt & Uncles house every other weekend & our cousins, Dana & Craig, came to ours on the alternating weekends. Craig & Uncle Kevin came for a visit. The children really love spending time with them! They made Uncle Kevin read books, play with dolls, build Lego's...the poor guy was busy from the moment he came in the front door. The highlight of their visit was meeting Craig's darling fiance, Katie. She's this tiny package of beauty & kindness. Just perfect for Craig. Craig as a little kid was tender hearted & much more mellow than his big brother & I. Craig & Brad were more alike. the calmer ones, the babies of the family. The children loved having family visit. I am so grateful they took the time to visit us on their cross country trip. We are all really excited that Craig & Katie, & our family will be moving only 3 hours apart from each other. It will nice to see more of them, & when Aunt Carol visits Craig...maybe ill sneak in a visit too!

{The Fiesta Pose}
Thursday, April 23, 2015
I cannot believe that this is our last (for now) Fiesta. Its such a neat & exciting celebration. Word on the street is it brings more tourists than Mardi Gras?! This city is just perfect. It has so much for families. The schools recognize Fiesta so it is a long weekend for the kids. Today the children had little fiestas of their own at school. The kinder kids had a parade with floats they made. Maddox of course made an Aquabat float. Because that concert we took him to forever ago is still like a dream to him. Tomorrow we will party with the street. Keeping traditions!
Presley loves her fiesta paper flower. She was the belle of the bus. All the kids were going gaga over her. I can tell she likes the attention. She walked up to all her brothers once we arrived home & would ask them "Don't you just want to look at me?!" She is so much like I was when I was little. I'm not sure if that is good or bad. A few pictures down Presley is giving me two middle fingers. i had told her to do a fiesta pose. Yikes. I am still laughing at that one. She has no idea of course.
{practice}

While T & Britt practice we play at the school park.
I love this next picture. The 2 littles watching big brothers! Tre is a team captain too so he leads the warm up drill. I love watching him get the team fired up!
