if you know the sclaters you know we spent the past 4 years in a rural town in Kentucky/Tennessee-right on the border. It was a life changing expierience. We LOVE the people, the history, the green that was everywhere.
Sadly many are facing trial in our small town.
a flood hit our town & many are now faced iwth repairs & rebuilding.
some are still stranded by the waters.
The tunnel that connects KY to TN & VA was closed along with businesses & stores.
Miners were stuck underground due to the waters.
the small town has been through a lot.
so far as the waters start to subside they have found 1 body of a boy.

many are still without power & water (ironic I know)
when speaking to a friend via phone yesterday, more rain is headed that way .

Our hearts goes out to them.

If you think of it drop a line or 2 into your family prayers for KY/TN residents. This is a big deal for this small town area.

It is so sad seeing Middlesboro like this. We were only here from the end of May to the end of September, but we considered it home. We will be praying for every one here. I knew it was bad, but didn't realize it was this bad. Thanks for posting this...

Miss you guys!

Oh that is so sad. My prayers go out to them. Jenni you and I often spoke of the last flood they had. We will keep everyone in our prayers. I love Middlesboro.
