{Report from Las Vegas Nevada.}

Rod has been in Las vegas the past month.

completing a medical school rotation.

the best part of this rotation has easily been reconnecting

with old friends.

Dan was quick to let Rod crash in his apartment.

He has shown Rod where to get the best crab legs

at the best buffets Las Vegas has to offer.

Travis & his way too pretty wife Kim

have fed Rod, invited Rod over, taken him

rock climbing, hiking, to watch BYU games,

"spot lighting"

(something to do with hunting coyotes? I dunno.)

& they have even shared their cute little dudes,

Johnathon & Christopher

with my man who misses his own rascals.

Kim was kind enough to share some pictures from Saturday.

(Rod was feeling silly & posed as if his fam was there with him.

can we say homesick?!

He is too great!)

The Easter bunny is bringing the boys
an extra special, unsuspected gift this year.
Their Dad.
After nights of trying to find a way for Rod to fly out for the nice holiday weekend,
we figured it out!
so Wednesday Ill buckle the boys in & drive to airport.
they have no idea whats coming their way!
Its going to be great!

T had his very first soccer game this morning.

(He is the peanut of the team. its darling!)
That boy jumped right in it!
& he did great!

(I should not be surprised...but truth is, I was not sure what to expect.)

We saw lots of our little friends from church...always fun!
& spent the game with the Crumley Family.

(remember Dr. Crumley? Rod did a surgery rotation with him.)
The Crumley girls loved on Britt & Maddox.

Giving me a chance to watch my big guy.

We returned home covered in mud & smiles.

Tonight was T's night for a special night.

I make an effort to give each big boy

a special night

where they are the star of the show.

T chose banana splits.

I was happy to accomodate that request!

My self control is pretty weak.

Yesterday I walked into the fabric store

& started laughing/giggiling/chuckeling outloud.

{Yes, I am the crazy lady!}

Its safe to say Im just a little excited about

the gal in my tummy!

Last night my needle & I went to work

girl-ifying

some simple onesies.

(some of which actually were a gift when we were told a baby boy was enroute.)

(ps: these rosettes are uber easy.

just get strips of fabric or ribbon twist & spiral! embelish! & Voila!)

& some long sleeve ones too...

& this is just the start!

dresses, headbands, tutus, skirts, etc. to come.

{Sometimes}

(but not too frequently)
they stop beating the tar out of each other.

(Do you just love how Britt is always wearing the same thing? ya...He is in a "thomas pants & james shirt" phase. Its all he wants to wear...ever. Britt knows his colors both by their actual names & their "train names." IE: If he says he wants his "thomas pants" he means he wants his blue pants. Pretty funny kid! He keeps us laughing.)

{a visit}

My Aunt & Uncle stopped by on their long drive home.

The visit was short but very sweet!

The boys were all over them!

After waving goodbye we walked to the park to get dirty!

& I mean down right filthy!!

the boys went straight into the tub when we walked through the door.

All the boys except T,

who decided today he was big enough

to shower & do all the scrubbing, drying, brushing

& all that jazz on his very own.

Its funny what things Mommas deam darling & special.
