{4th in Oregon}

Happy 4th! 

We had our 1st 4th in Oregon & it was ADORABLE! 

cutest little gathering at the park by the river with activities, music, food & play. Tre even ran into some new friends from church and joined in with them walking around being all teenager-is. he really is so fun & I am glad he is making friends so quickly. 

I grew up with small town 4th, where you see all your classmates and teachers...heck even the priest. I wanted this so badly for the kids. & here we are...living my dream. local restaurants and gas stations already recognize us and its just so friendly. I get it though! how could anyone be unhappy here? its just so breathtaking and cute! & the weather! Its dreamy! 

We skipped out on the big fireworks the park had lined up since Rod had work the next day. So we did sparklers, scanned the sky for fireworks then tucked rod is while the rest of us watched a movie in the basement so not to disturb his sleep. The kids were good and tired after a long fun day.

{Keys Visit Oregon Day 4}

On Monday we went to Multnomah Falls. It was absolutely beautiful. If I am being perfectly honest...I could have done without all the whining during the walk up to the bridge. Some of my littles had not slept and man alive were they tired come Monday. But we went, we saw and it was beautiful. I really want to go back with Tre & hike the whole thing. We went to a fish hatchery after and that was better received by the kids. we saw some neat fish, both gigantic and itty bitty. it was serene and calm. The gardens were vibrant too. we had a great day over all. Finished it all off with burgerville and hugs goodbye. It's hard being apart from our best friends. We loved every minute. When we got home we finished putting away the extra pillows and blankets, shed a few tears and found some super cute reminders around the house of the fun visit we had! Until next time.
