---->>>>>quick stop

Sunday, September 30, 2012

My mother is on tour.
1st stop: to see the 4.
She arrived on Friday evening.
with her came new jammies, new dresses, chocolate lollipops & hugs.
We stayed up late & Presley made her rounds of night night kisses.
Saturday was wet & rainy so no football & no soccer games. Sadly.
Instead my mother played legos & colored with the four.
Mom took me to Costco & filled 2 whole carts for the pantry.
gratitude does not even begin to describe how we feel.
then home for dinner & the Relief Society General Conference.
We made it home after a busy day & the boys all crept downstairs for a snuggle with Omah.
Now everyone is snoozing.
Tomorrow my mother takes off for her second destination.
Maryland to see  cute baby Norah for a while.
The boys wanted Omah to stay for "22 months."
She is one fantastic Omah to squeeze in a quick stop here on her Omah Tour.
(Poor Opah-stuck at work. next time!)

---->>>>the two

Friday, September 21, 2012

With school well under way these two are learning to get along.
Maddox & Presley usually avoid one another.
She is a girl & he is a bit less understanding & patient with his little sister than his older brothers.
I hear them laughing in the playroom now & again.
Its nice to watch them learn to understand one another better.
Today they joined forces to play with Play Doh.

---->>>>>blue gatorade

Saturday, September 15, 2012

The kids guzzled blue gatorade today. First games of the season. Lucky for us texans it was overcast & under 100 degrees. The games overlapped a bit so we had to split into two groups. It worked out just fine. I laughed way too much at Britton's game. Oh gosh. That kid is too much. He definitely marches to the beat of his own drum. at one point our neighbor, Derrick had to go get Britt back on the field. Not sure where he was headed...but I guess the game next door looked pretty fun.
 Tre wanted to give football a go. He is such a string bean we thought flag football was a good starting point. He is typically a very timid kid when it comes to sports, getting in there was never his thing in soccer. Football is perfect for him. He really has no other choice but to guard, block, get involved. I see good things coming from this season's busy sports schedule.
Presley had a tea party.
Maddox raided the snack bar & grew a blue mustache.
Maddox & Britt cheered "go Tre go" at the top of their lungs (not hard for them) over & over. Pretty endearing if you ask me.
Rod & I tried to watch the boys while herding the little ones.
We escaped without having to busy snow cones.
Id say it was a success,
others may disagree watching our crazy family of 6 & a bump.
