This summer has been kind of a bust. It started off with a few very emotional weeks & now that the dust has settled a bit & we are starting to figure stuff out...I am feeling pretty lousy about the lack of fun the kids have had this summer. We made our bucket list, and there are maybe 6 things checked off. Last year we did all 40. But last year summer was longer too. The kids only have about a month this year. We have snuck in a few things they wanted to do...
1. Make slime (which i failed at because I bought the wrong kind of shaving cream, but they loved it anyhow.)
2. Cupcake wars Sclater edition.
3. Bouncy gym
4. Aquarium & a mermaid show
There are 2 weeks left and I know this won't be the most memorable summer ever for the children, but I hope someday they will look back and see that we really focused on what mattered most...being together.
